Emergency Personnel: Certified athletic trainer and student athletic trainer(s) on site competitions and most practices; otherwise coach certified in CPR/AED/First Aid; MD on site for Football and Basketball competitions.

Emergency Communication: Kirby Sports Medicine room or athletic offices; if closed- campus phone on wall of concession stand in Sports Center Foyer.

Emergency Equipment: Supplies (AED, oxygen, splint kit, spine board) maintained in Sports Medicine Facility.

Role of First Responders
1. Immediate care of the injured or ill student-athlete
2. Call Staff Athletic Trainer (if Available)
3. Emergency equipment retrieval
4. Activation of emergency medical system (EMS): Call Public Safety 610-330-5333 and request an ambulance; If you cannot get through immediately, call 9-911. 5. Direction of EMS to the scene
a. open appropriate doors
b. designate individual to "flag down" EMS and direct to scene
c. Scene control: limit scene to first aid providers and direct bystanders away from area.

Venue Directions: Kirby Sports Center is located on Pierce Street across from the tennis courts. The nearest cross street is Hamilton. The EMS entrance for varsity athletic activities in Kamine Gym is on Hamilton Street.

Metzgar Athletic Complex

Emergency Personnel: Certified athletic trainer and student athletic trainer(s) on site competitions and most practices; otherwise coach certified in CPR/AED/First Aid; Additional sports medicine staff accessible from McCracken Athletic Training Room. EMS available on as needed basis (i.e. JV Football Game)

Emergency Communication: Phone in McCracken field house center hallway, athletic training room or cell phone.

Emergency Equipment: Supplies (AED, oxygen, splint kit, spine board) maintained in Sports Medicine Facility.

2. Call Staff Athletic Trainer (if Available) on Nextel, otherwise coach certified in CPR/AED/First Aid.
3. Emergency equipment retrieval
4. Activation of emergency medical system (EMS): 911 call (provide name, address, telephone number, number of individuals injured, condition of injured, first aid treatment given, who is caring for injured, specific directions, other information as requested) 5. Direction of EMS to the scene
a. open appropriate gates- know current gate code
b. designate individual to "flag down" EMS and direct to scene
c. Scene control: limit scene to first aid providers and direct bystanders away from area.

Venue Directions: Metzgar Athletic Complex is located in Forks Township across from the Forks Diner on Sullivan Trail. Then direct specifically to the field/area of the injured athlete.
