Post-Game Fireworks to Cap Historic First Home Night Game

Aug. 24, 2007

EASTON, Pa. - Eight days from today, the lights will go on at Fisher Stadium for the historic first home night game in Lafayette history on Sept. 1. In addition to the Leopards opening the 2007 campaign against Marist, a post-game fireworks display will serve as a finale to the evening.

The historic event will also showcase the complete transformation of Fisher Stadium, as the Bourger Varsity Football House was dedicated on June 1. Fisher Stadium's gates and the new interactive "Leopard Fun Spot" with inflatables and interactive games will open at 4:30 p.m. Kick-off between Lafayette and Marist is set for 6 p.m.

The game is the season-opener for both teams and it will be the first of three home night games on the 2007 schedule for the Leopards.

Lafayette's Block pARTy will highlight the pre-game festivities, featuring live music of all varieties, fantastic food, exhibitions of Lafayette student artwork, free raffles of arts and sports goodies, dance, magic and other entertainment.

Tickets can be purchased at the Athletic Ticket Office in Kirby Sports Center, online or by calling the Lafayette ticket office at (610) 330-5471. Fans can also purchase tickets on gameday at Fisher Stadium.
