Contact Coach Korn: David Korn joins Lafayette for his first year in College Hill. Korn has had several coaching stints, mainly at the club level. Most recently he was the Director of Coaching at the Foothills Futbol Club, the second largest club in Southern Arizona. At Foothills, he oversaw the implementation and education of more than 35 coaches. While at Foothills, Korn was also the head coach and the Director of Sponsorship/Fundraising at the Tucson Soccer Academy. He was also the assistant varsity coach and junior varsity head coach at Salpointe Catholic High School where he helped guide Salpointe to the 5A State Finals. In addition, Korn was the head coach for the Youth Olympic Girls Program (YOP) from 2004-06 and the Canyon Del Oro Soccer Club from 2001-05. He has also worked at various soccer camps, including ones at UCLA, Santa Clara University and Duke University. Korn's coaching efforts have already earned him several awards and honors. He was the 2007 AZ Youth Soccer Association Coach of the Year. In 2003 and 2004, Korn was also a nominee for the Boy's Youth Soccer Coach of the Year Award and in 2003 was named Southern Arizona's Youth Referee of the Year. This past May, Korn graduated from the University of Arizona with a major in business management. He currently holds a USSF 'B' License. |
